The sales force of a leading international insurance company uses tablet PCs to fill in their new customer application forms

The forms incorporate numerous validation rules to ensure accuracy of the information filled in. For example, the account numbers filled in on the direct debit forms are cross-checked with the bank sort codes to verify that these are valid and allow direct debit payments. Customers sign the application and direct debit forms displayed on the tablet PCs.

These sales force upload the data, images and completed forms electronically to a secure database where the data is used for MIS reporting and exported into company IT systems via high security internet connections.
